i had a 1995 n plate 850 2.0 20v non turbo and it started using loads of coolant then blew the radiator,i replaced it with a scrappy find rad and within 8 weeks the head gasket blew like a demented kettle wrecking the head and busting the block at no 2 cylinder wall to waterway,the gaskets dont go ...

i would try changing the fuel filter,it sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me,also try a bottle of fuel injection cleaner

i know this might be a daft idea,and shoot me down if you want but how about converting the struts to 2.25 inch coil overs,you have to weld the threaded sleeve to the outer case of the strut,or another daft idea how about a capri front strut

im building a distributorless system for the car,based on the ford edis 8 system from american fords and possibly late jag v8 engines,so if it works i will publish a link to show how i did it

hi everyone,
does anyone know if there is any truth in the things i have been hearing about setting up a ford flathead v8 distributor,my father in law says they have to be set up in a jig for proper running.im on restoring a 1950 version and i cant get a spark out of it for love nor money

i once come across the same problem on a turbo diesel on a w plate,it was the caliper carrier rattling as some rust got trapped during reassembly and the carrier wasnt torqued down properly,therfore knocking under movement
