It's a measure of the man that he's skimming the underside that no-one is going to see without a torch, so that you can't see the repairs.

Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound

ive seen loads of repairs to structural points finished with filler like that... just without the welding....

Yeah, I know what you mean. Chap's is proper metal with a few microns of skim to get the surface show perfect.
I'm not referring to the "Period Correct" type of repairs involving two pounds of isopon and a 10 foot roll of chickenwire
