MG Head rest Friction Roller

#1 Post by mollymidget »

Anyone know where I can get a new / replacement Friction Roller for my MG Midget headrest part no CZA4713 all usual suppliers have discontinued, or know of a substitute that can be used.

Good news here is that this isn't an MG part, it's generic among group cars, and among others Canley Classics and a couple of the mini spares places keep them in.

Seen here in a Spitfire seat, so chances are Graham Walker will also list them for some of the bigger Reliants.

Another option and if you want used ones, I have a pair of Dolomite seat frames that have been stripped of their trim and foams, I was only going to scrap them so if you want the bits before they go to the furnace, consider them yours. The head restraints themselves went to a forum member a few months ago but they always worked fine enough and stayed put when moved so the tubes and these things are all good.

Hello Rob, I don't want money but would you be OK with donating the cost of the postage label to any of these three charities: The MS Society, ARC or this organisation please. It'll not be much and it's not worth the hassle of your sending funds to me.
I'll get the seats hoisted down from the attic next time my home help comes in and then remove the bits. I plan to have these things copied and will set my students onto making some replicas. Just email me your address details when it suits you and I'll see to this as soon as I have the time. I'm in the UK for a few more weeks so there's no rush as long as you're not in urgent need.

:)
