One of the screw holes has broken and the sides have melted with too bright a bulb.
I'm guessing '80s BL product and maybe Lucas. I thought Jaguar, but I think these were slightly different. I've seen loads that are similar, but none with the two screw holes in the lens and these being right on the side. Unlike all other Lucas lamp lenses I've come across this has no identifying marks. No serial number, no nothing.
The silly reason? I was once at the Williams F1 museum and saw that one of the Alan Jones cars had this oil warning light mounted on the dash in the same way.
