Hi guys, new here. From what I have seen you have a good site going.

I thought I'd post up some pics of my 3 Nissan Sunnys.

The one I have had the longest is a 1990 1.8 Sunny ZX Coupe, which I bought back in December 2009. Love this motor, and so few of them left. I took this one to the Ryhope meet 2010, but I was there quite late, and ended up being parked out at the back where no-one saw her! I also took her to the Retro Rides Gathering in Yeovil in the Summer of 2010. 700 mile round trip from Newcastle, and she never missed a beat. These pics were taken from that weekend.













She is currently SORN'd until I can sort the master brake cylinder out. Usual mix of not enough time or cash at the minute.

Next, the first of my two recent aquisitions. 1987, 1.3LX 4 door saloon. Only 52K, kept for 20 years of it's life by one careful owner who garaged her every night. Looking forward to getting this one MOT'd soon.




That's also my Primera wagon there!











And my second 'new' Sunny, a 1985, 1.5SGL auto with 95K on the clock. Bodywork immaculate, waxoiled underneath and completely solid. Took a one way train journey from Newcastle to SW London on Sunday just gone, and drove her back. Apart from a suspected wheel bearing which needs replacing, and a service needed, she's an absolute stunner. MOT not due until end of June next year. Love her.

I see an F reg Coupe in grey quite regularly around here (Anglesey).It's always made me wonder how many survive.

They survive, but rust once it gets in there is what kills 'em. The one I have on the drive at the moment is in a bad way and the inner rear wings are pretty none existant. The underseal covered that quite well until it became pretty obvious that there was no real structure left

i love sunnys!! my mate had the same saloon model as you, it was a real shed but it was indestructable.. it impressed me so much i bought a 92 diesel. that was a car id rate as one of the best ive ever owned. i was heartbroken when i found out the guy who had it from us sent it for scrap 3 months after he got it.. an oil leak developed & he was to idle to check the levels.. id maintaned the car like it was a baby..

Please don't ever go for a job maintaining babies, not if you'd be pouring 20w50 into them at a rate of 1 litre per 1000 miles.

From my experience litres of thick smelly liquid pour out of babies much faster than that!

Sorry, I'm enjoying looking at these Nissans. Loving the Sunny auto lots. You'd want to be a rich man to go down by train though . Last two cars I've bought down South I've used the bus; only £14 one way, Ashington or Morpeth to Victoria. Same price from St James' I should think.
Saying that, the other passengers usually smell fairly bad and I've seen a couple of drivers falling asleep so it's a bit more of a gamble.

Sorry, I'm enjoying looking at these Nissans. Loving the Sunny auto lots. You'd want to be a rich man to go down by train though . Last two cars I've bought down South I've used the bus; only £14 one way, Ashington or Morpeth to Victoria. Same price from St James' I should think.

I've travelled by National Express to Laandaan before, and not only does it take 22 days one way, it does actually smell rather bad lol. To be fair, I booked the train ticket a week in advance through the trainline.com, and it only cost me £35 down to Kings Cross (a big saving on the full price cost), which is definately worth it. Getting to Kings Cross was where our public transport problems started. Me and my mate got to the correct Tube platform after what seemed like a 3 mile hike, only for a 'Bing Bong' moment over the loudspeaker to tell us that all trains on the Victoria Line were now suspended due to a signalling failure at Seven Sisters! Now bearing in mind we had to get to Vauxhall to then catch a 3rd train to take us to New Malden where the B11 was, the next part of the announcement..."we suggest you use the Piccadilly Line and change accordingly!" was of absolutely no help to two Geordie lads unsure of where we had to go. Anyway, I made a snap decision to head back up to civilisation, where we jumped in a black cab, which took us south of the river to Waterloo Station, where we picked up the SW Rail train to New Malden at it's start point (this would have been the train we boarded at Vauxhall if the Tube had been working). Consequently, apart from being £12 down (black cab fare), and the addition a couple of extra grey hairs, we arrived to collect the B11 on time! This is exactly why we love our cars, and hate public transport!!!

Anyway, thanks for the nice comments about the Sunny's so far.

Twelve Quid's not too sharp for a black cab in the capital. It costs £15 to come from Ashington back out to Ellington (less than a six mile trip) in a shagged-out, J-plate Sierra or Kia something-or-other at 11pm, stone-cold sober and with no rivers to cross nor any traffic lights, dual carriageway or roundabouts with more than one exit to be negotiated.

£35 for a train ride doesn't seem too bad at all, I may buy another car from down that way some time just to give me an excuse for the journey.
