Getting car insurance for US visit
I'm visiting a friend inn the US over christmas and instead of me hiring a car they have said I can use theirs but I have no idea what can or needs to be done with regards to insurance. When i've hired cars out there before i have just bought some insurance here in the UK for it but not sure if i can just get a similar thing but for a friends car or if their insurance covers me. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Getting car insurance for US visit
I borrowed an American friend's car & the state we were in had such lenient insurance laws that no extra policy was required. I would talk to your friend to find out what cover they have & get suggestions about what would be needed depending on your expected usage; different states have different laws, so it'll make all the difference if you're just pottering locally or taking it across country.

You should be covered on their policy but it's worth them checking with their insurance. Just be nice and pay their deductible (excess) if you hit the car.

Take over some British car spares: Do a local a favour and make a profit compared to the prices they charge over there. Series Landrover parts are a small fortune over there
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound
