I scrapped a couple of these 3 or 4 years ago and struggled to sell much of anything off them. The only sought after bits back then were rear tailgates, because everyone else's were as bad as this one.

Or are you referring to the scrap metal value? 2.7 tonnes x 160 = £432

The engine and box (assuming it runs) are worth £200. axles £25-£50 each, the interior is ruined or the trim is worth a good few quid as it's quite rare (i'd put a vogue / CSK interior in it anyway).

One of the blokes i have been asking about it has said "I have a better one in my garden you can have for whatever that goes for" so there may be a change of plan.

Oops! I'd had the figure of 2.7 in mind for ages, probably after misinterpreting the Gross Vehicle Weight. Thanks for putting me right.

Some brave soul bought it for £310. With the offer of one with a solid chassis locally I’m going to have a look in 2 weeks (the next weekend we are both about) to see if it's worth having.

where are you based? i have a cousin in bristol who deals and modifys land rovers etc. im sure he could find something.

most likely cause of that sort of problem is reversing down slipways with boat trailers hooked to the back.

I must say that £310 is a bit of a bargain for that IMHO. just hope it doesn't end up bobbed etc and fitted with one of those twatty "one life live it" stickers

I never cease to be amazed at how far my bog std RRC goes on the pay and play circuit - despite of the OLLI prats telling me to loose the spoiler, rear plough, shorten it, lift it, checker plate it and cover it with wanky stickers.

To Be Fair, most series vehicles have rot at this end of the chassis, and most if not all have had a rear quarter chassis fitted at some point. With RRC / Disco 1 chassis there doesn't seem to be that option

As for Bobbing / lifting / checker plate: Never really seen the point as most people don't go rock bouncing in this country, so its not necessary. All it does is make the bloody thing a real handful on road.
Only Mod I ever do is fitting a set of heavy duty tyres on spare rims if I'm really going to be hitting the mud.

As for the stickers Guilty My defence is that mine says "One Life-Get One"
