The Nissan K10? Is that the one that looks like The Mini Metro? Sigh! you sad puppy. I suppose you like The Mini Metro too. The only saving grace for the K10 is that if you spin the drive wheels fast enough you can set fire to the grass verge.rich. wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2018 7:59 amaustin 1100? lovely little cars, much cheaper than a mini & just as much fun... failing that nissan micra k10,![]()

Re: BMW MINI
Evenin' chaps, did someone say "K10?"
Talking of things that make Rich dribble all down his tie; Anna Friel's back on the telly next Monday, can February get better than this? Well, as it happens, I reckon so, all it needs is for someone to tow a Sprite Musketeer past my window with a Talbot Tagora Diesel and then my life will have been worth the bother!
So thinking along those lines, also thinking that we need to force
guide the new member into the ideal vehicle and, taking into account at least some of the requirements that the vehicle must satisfy, I do believe that the vehicle pictured below is ideal.. OK, so maybe it's only a match on 47.3% of the desired characteristics, but this is ideal for someone who would love to buy a nice Japanese runabout but is being stifled by the powers that be in the insurance industry.
It's an Italian thoroughbred, but with some Japanese content, a confused merger of the sublime and the even more sublime than that!
Or buy a nice VW T147 "Fridolin". I've pretty much let that idea drop as an old taxi would suit me so much better in the real world, but I suggest that the new member should grab one, they're almost as desirable as the Alfa-Romeo Arna.

Come to think of it, a Triumph Acclaim would serve much the same purpose..

Fantastic John!!
The Arna really is a clear case of WTF just happened at that board meeting when they decided to give the green light to producing that car?!?!? Suppose it's a warning to us all not to mix Sake with Grappa........

That's the spirit, Rich. I often wonder what an Alfasud with a Datsun Cherry engine would be like to drive. I guess we'll never know now.

Absolutely someone did, and they're about to say it again:
Tagora, Tagora, Tagora! Is there a more underrated car than the Tagora? I rate Talbot's last great heroic failure as the thinking person's alternative to an Aston Martin Lagonda, a surprisingly similar car (after a few absinthes and a good old 4:20 session).

Re: BMW MINI
K10? Tagora? Arna? Acclaim? Someone call me a taxi. Next thing that you know, someone not too far from here will be drooling over that ultimate of blandness, the Honda Accord.
Re: BMW MINI
Well if you're sure that's what you want: Oi! GHT, you're a taxi!
