breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

 @ the Benz on the previous page.

....Only if it came with a chauffeur and a free pallet of Tunnock's Teacakes, then I might!
Confession time: I like that, but these things are monumental rustbuckets and I'm far too much of a chubber to get in past that bogroll tube roll cage!

alabbasi, is that yours? you might have the wrong one on the trailer
Yep, it's about 5500lbs so not too bad. Trailer was very stable on the 400 mile drive home. The kid that usually pulls with my 3/4 ton chevy complained about wanting a diesel so i picked up this little project.

It's a Ford F350 'dually' with a 7.3 liter turbo diesel. It weighs about 8500lbs and the trailer was not happy as you can see by how its bowing. I guess i now know my upper limit.

We unloaded right after and i had a pro pick it up.

It's got geared axles so I'm pretty sure it can go over just about everything you'd want to go over. The army beats to snot out of them before they sell them on so I had to buy two new heads and pistons as the old ones were cracked. Hopefully that would be the end of it.

Looks to me as though someone found a scrapped Whitby Warrior and lashed its shell to a Reliant chassis. I'd imagine that it would be quite "interesting" to drive though, and that laydeez will throw their underwear at it as it passes them on the street.

GHT, please can you send some of your special eye bleach to me?

The poor man probably can't stand the pace. Either that, or he's run away with Terry - who also seems to have escaped from the forum - to live the humble life in a monastery where the chaps would both ring bells, eat Mars Bars and drink Buckfast, then live happily ever after. The end.

I found two cars on eBay that I thought ought to be posted here, but now I've lost them. Both listings were for completely separate items that both had the registration letters "NOB", which their respective sellers seemed to find worthy of mention. One was an HC Viva if that helps..

Oi! I heard that. I've gone back to work, retirement felt like unemployment, so now I'm back, clocking up 60 hours a week again, robbing all you youngsters of a well paid job.
