breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

That first link, the one to the DAF. Back in the day, I had a driver work for me who had one of those. He was the butt of all jokes. Every bit as caustic as any of jokes about the then, Eastern European cars. Had to admit, even though I wouldn't mock a good worker, I always knew when he had turned up. That DAF engine sounded like a sewing machine.

Save the Cedric, Rich. It's got to be the cheapest of the bunch and will be the most reliable.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

You've actually found one that I like. The Jeep. But that second one looks like one of those temporary, stinky loos they use at pop concerts and other festivals. I suppose that you could hitch it up to your car and take your own loo to Glasto, if Glasto or any Pop concert floats your boat, or loo.
