breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Hmm, Nice layout but far too rusty for its age, especially as it's a grey. I mean, has it been kept up to its waist in the sea? Japan doesn't use salt and, contrary to the urban myth about JDM vehicles not being given the same body protection, they get all of the gooey stuff that the rest of the world does so much as I prefer the layout to that of the Lite-Ace I'm currently looking at on an auction site (yahoo.jp), it appears that Datsuns rust spectacularly and Toyotas don't if compared on a like-for like basis, the exception being the K10 Micra that can still be found in uncorroded condition for sensible quantities of pennies.
I've even seen Bongos with less sill rot than that, and they're all harbouring at least some nasties because Mazda and Ford used rubbish steel in their light commercial shells.
I'm sure that will find a good home though, but I'd sooner spend the asking price on the lifesize model of Michael Jackson, the one with the anatomically accurate detail work. It's currently on yahoo.jp in the cars - oldtimers - 1980s - Lexus :? section, no idea why, and there's little interest so far but it could be handy to keep the neighbours' kids away from my back garden when I'm in the hut working on my large Tesla Coil project. Especially handy if I fit a speaker in its backside and get it to perform hourly..

Oof! I drooled too, and the one way postage to me from that well-known and reputable grey specialist's premises down in the North Midlands would only be £117. Add a chauffeur or an auto conversion for a few pounds over that and I'd still prefer a van, cute though the wee Datsun is.

How so? We live in blighty so you'll be nearer to us rather than being contained by that channel thing.

Drop in for a brew and some cake if you're above 55 degrees North, I'll even give you access to the Anna Friel shrine in the loft. ;)

No real mystery: It's there because the rest of the house is completely full with sis-in-law's tools, welding gear and shoes. :x

And there was I hoping it was for some clandestine bishop bashing reason. How boring.

That reminds me of a sign above the urinals in our local pub.

...You aim too, please? That sign is probably a compulsory "joke" in the bogs at most pubs. That, and the sign that says "Free beer tomorrow."
