Hi,
Having finally passed it's MOT I'm starting to put some miles on the car.
After driving for about twenty mins the car idles very lumpy, like its about to fall over. It does not stall and still pulls away but it feels like it will cut out. If I pull the choke out a little it settles but the revs are a bit higher than normal, about 900-1000 rather than the normal 800.
The car starts well and doesn't always need choke to start.
Thanks as ever for the advice, I would have the new MOT without it !
Andy
MGB rough idle after short journey
Re: MGB rough idle after short journey
I'm no expert, but the fact that it needs no choke to start suggests it's running too rich. After twenty minutes thing I would suggest is fuel evaporation, or vapour lock.

I'd make sure filters are clean, and give it a good tune up. This may help as it might just be running rich
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound
