Bear in mind that emission tests are applied by the age of the engine if it's older than the vehicle itself, so fit a 1973 engine to a 1995 vehicle and all it has to do is pass on visual smoke, though obviously that's an extreme way to get around what ought to be an easy requirement to meet.
VOSA are clamping right down on emissions-related testing these days and the test venues are losing licences where they overlook such things so be careful out there.

I have a single point system and 120l tank sitting in my garage you can have if you fancy making a trip up to get it. The wiring is a bit of a mess but nothing that couldn't be sorted. I have upgraded to multipoint.
Lucas EFi is really easy to work on. injectors are plentiful and cheap and it only needs a MAF sensor, TPS, water and fuel temp and Lambdas on the cat cars. Almost all the problems I have encountered have been caused by mechanical issues (air leaks and a bent butterfly). Recently I have found one faulty injector which had fallen apart. it was working but i have no idea how.
RoverGauge is invaluable so if you do go EFi (14cux) then it's worth investing a few pounds and making the cable.
firtly though i have got to get the landie ready to sell,I have had one guy look at it and he was put off by the bulkhead being cut out which will put many buyers off, so I have bought a new tub which i will fit next weekend followed by a quck freshen up of the paint.

Landie is sold!
A guy I work with brought it, I have agreed to roller a new coat of paint on it but the good news is he wants to keep the existing tub and store the new one, so paint this weekend and then it will go next week. Sad but things move on and I have a new toy to look forward to just need to find one now, I have one in mind but it is a fair distance away being in Gloucester.

Been a day of painting, firstly the minor now has the old english white applied, came out pretty well but there are a few areas which require further work, especially where I knocked the bootlid over.

Also started on the landie, the first coaf went on really well but by the time I aplied the second coat it had warmed up and it driedca bit to quickly leaving a quite heavy orange peel, plan is to rub it down an recoat first thing in the morning.

It's sad to lose a "loved one", but the challenges of the replacement will help you forget the old one all too quickly!
I'm envious of the side windows though - something I'm half-looking for (ie they aren't urgent at the moment) as there are one or two nasty junctions around these parts and they are nasty in a car, let alone a van!

Its come back to haunt me already, Darren, who bought it tried to insure it with the same company I ave used today, they won't insure it because the lpg is not registered on some database, this apparantly is a new database which did not exist when I first insured it many years ago(engineers certificate sufficed then).
So now we have to take it for an inspection, god knows whart that will throw up, I suspect the standards may have changed in the last 10 years or so.
It wont be the end of the world as he is not too fussed about lpg so if the worse comes to the worse we will just have to spend a couple hours removing it, not sure how to dispose of a full tank of lpg though!

Do what I've done, put it in the garage and wait for someone on the forum to want an LPG kit for something

I currently insure the landie with chaucher, they were very expensive for the range rover as well, perhaps they are just very cautious
I am going to suggest he goes to Peter Best, they didn't ask for anything on the tr7v8, either for the lpg or v8 conversion.
I am now worried though that I may have problems insuring the range rover I am looking at next week, it is not on the database but it may be ok as according to the vehicle check I ran it is registered as dual fuel.
