Mate of mine pulled his Jeep J10 out of the barn and into the sunlight over the weekend.

^^^ I've been there, some Oldham this way, some Oldham that..

Meanwhile, just slightly south from home; an absolutely effing gorgeous Black Tulip ADO17, pulling what appeared to be a modern take on the Portafold/Anusfold style of collapsible caravan coming onto the A69 from the Military Road by means of a bit of A68. Today, roughly 3pm.

Anyone know of any crab action west of the border at the weekend we just had? Or was this rig from the Scots side?

Thanks for that. I figured you might be the man who would know. Tell me please; is it an 1800? Did I get the colour right? Is the thing it was dragging a classic folder or some sort of newfangled alternative? So many questions, so little time.

It's an odd one. It is an 18/85, but it's had a front end at some point from a Six and yes, it is black tulip with a red pin stripe. On it's way to Washington. Allan was a coded welder of some repute, so the car get's a lot of love. Don't know anything about caravans, but it is a fold away thing with a big awning.

Austin Seven

#1748 Post by History »

Today at Tescos in Kinson Bournemouth at 6.30 pm.
A maroon with black mudguards a 1938 Austin Seven fitted with an Austin 10 hp engine. Firestone cross plies.
Grey leather.
Lovely lovely car. It wouldn't win conkers but as the owner said its a daily driver and the bigger engine gets him to work faster. Also a fitted with a 1960s Lucas dynamo and 12 volt electrics. But he has used those crimp on blue spade terminals which look awfully bad. The owner has 5 cars and no time. But proper wiring is on the list.

Bob.

Ive been doing a lot of hiking this year, getting out and about the local area as much as possible walking long forgotten pathways. as one does, we keep an eye open for anything interesting but up to now ive spotted nothing, until last night.
