Didn't he own a couple of Austin Princess's, seem to recall he rescued a white one from somewhere or am I in an alcoholic haze trying to block out the impending Wedding that people are rattling on about?
ISTR that he saved "Wilson", one of the last surviving Wolseley-badged ADO71s, was that the white one? No, it's not the alcohol, unless that was why you remembered the car but not the name given to him by Mr Larkin. :D

I recall he also saved one of the Prototype wedges from a scrapyard. It was R registered and orange as I recall. (Not the Wolseley version he also owned.)

He also had an A55 that sadly suffered slashed seats at the hands of vandals and a black Morris Oxford, both of which he was quite attached to. (EDIT: I just remembered the Oxford was named "Oliver")

I remember reading about his vandalism episode with the A55 Farina. Most distressing, as I think he had owned the car for most of his driving career to that point and hadn't long since fitted a new bonnet to replace one that had tried to escape.

Horizon Blue over Farina Grey duotone wasn't it? A lovely old thing and near perfect before those mindless tossers broke into its storage shed to cut its seats and to spray the car with random marks from red rattle cans.
