New Car Restoration Show for ITV Looking to Help

#1 Post by NorthOneTV »

Is your beloved project rusting away in the garage? We could be the answer to your prayers.

North One Television makers of Speed With Guy Martin, The Gadget Show and Fifth Gear have been asked by ITV1 to make a brand new primetime car restoration show and we want to hear about your projects.

We understand that you may not have the time or finances to dedicate to your prized classic; so our team of elite mechanics are standing by to give it the mechanical makeover it so desperately deserves.

Interested? Keen for you and you’re car to be on TV?

Then please get in touch via CAR.RESCUE@NORTHONETV.COM with details of the car including a picture, a paragraph about yourselves and why you deserve to be on the show.

It could be a waste of time, no replies to emails. A yes or No Thanks would not hurt for people.

I know of a few, that have sent in stuff heard nothing?

I had a reply and they were interested in my MG but because I'm out of the country (and therefore couldn't be involved in the filming) it went no further

mmmmm..."elite mechanics" sounds a bit too close to "master mechanic" for me....
Currently over 35 years worth of fixing 35 boxes.
Hoping to reach 65 years worth of fixing 65 boxes.

Err - No they are not - the advert with the headline 'Wanted car restoration garage for primetime tv show' was placed by the same production company in last Wednesday's 'Classic Car Weekly' on page 45 - so currently they don't even have a restoration team or base (unless they have resourced one in the few days since last Wednesday that is) :?
1937 Jowett 8 - Project - in less pieces than the Jupiter
1943 Jowett Stationary Engine
1952 Jowett Jupiter - In lots of peices http://Jowett.org/
1952 Jowett Javelin - Largely original
1973 Rover P6 V8 - Original / 22,000 miles
