Re: Photo hosting sites
I pay a small sum to Photobucket for considerably increased storage and - behold - it works perfectly.

I rent server space from 123reg so I can do more or less whatever I want not just host pictures (I run several websites). They have options from £60 per year including a domain name.

I have photobucket accountS!
If you have a google mail account you can use it to setup 2 accounts not one!
because you do one as @googlemail and the second @gmail spreading the load a bit

Re: Photo hosting sites
I use flickr, which has recently been improved somewhat - 100Gb storage is ample for my needs (though may not be if the Landy resto takes much longer!) and is reasonably friendly to use. There are annoying features in the new "interface" - but I suspect that's because I liked the old one and was used to it!
I'm not sure about other browsers, but, with Firefox, I can right click on the size of image I want in the download bit and select "copy link location" to paste in the img bit on here to put the pictures up - and if I can do it easily, anyone can!!
My flickr page is here, so you can see what I mean:

Re: Photo hosting sites
Cheers chaps, I'm thinking I'll have a look at Flikr later and see how it works for me. I used to have a couple of websites for business before things took a downturn on the domestic front but don't want to get deep in things with server space or anything.
I also don't really want to pay photobucket for the privilege of it doing what it used to do for me for free. Yes I know I'm tight, but that's down to necessity rather than choice.
I do accept however that you don't really get anything for nought, but would rather give the cash (if necessary) to another host as I have become that frustrated trying to upload to photobucket since its last "improvements".

Been using Flikr forever. Never had a problem. Even though the interface has changed slightly recently, it's still easy enough to link pics.
Re: Photo hosting sites
flickR is my favourite too. The new UI took a while to get used with, but in its favour, it does maximise the quantity of images that fit in the page.
