Here's the place to chat about all things classic. Also includes a feedback forum where you can communicate directly with the editorial team - don't hold back, they'd love to know what they're doing right (or wrong of course!)
I certainly do wish you luck and hope that some of those narrow twisty roads don't cause too many problems. I have a cousin in Devon who has to drive to the nearest M'way junction and guide visitors to his house or they are hopelessly lost (I gather sat nav doesn't help much for his house).
I suspect that this is one of the few occasions where I hope people have problems with cars and need a good reliable recovery service! Not forgetting all the "shed buyers" who need their latest drunken purchase collecting.
Good luck, it's something I did a few years back. Might also be worth approaching local dealers and carding them up for dealer transfers, lease deliveries, may bring in some more work, but most main dealers won't be interested if you rock up in a clapped out MK3 Transit beavertail, especially high end dealers. Also worth seeing if there's any local auction sites locally you could card up.
Best of luck, there are a few classic car clubs around here (I'm in Torbay) the Crash Box is a big club and I am with Torbay Old Wheels. Could be worth letting these clubs know what you are about as there may be work through that too.
