So just when we thought that we had ample TV coverage for motors already, Quest is showing Brian Johnson's "Cars That Rock" series starting Thursday next (08/05) at 9pm.
Anyone who isn't from the same tribe as Brian may need subtitles to translate the great old rocker's Geordie twang (English folk have no chance, I'm Northumbrian and sometimes struggle with their verb moods), but when he's arsing (told you so) around in everything from ancient Bugattis to a mini - the star of the first show, maybe so that they can do it before FTLOC, who have a MK1 Cooper resto on next Sunday - and there's a metal soundtrack, who needs words?

I watched the programme about military vehicle restoration on Quest last night. Well some of it I switched over at the first adverts. Oh no another bloody load mouth Cockney sounding.................! I know I shouldn't criticise other TV car shows but these folks give military vehicle enthusiasts a bad name! Worse still the BBC were promoting it on the One Show. I'm glad I'm involved with Car SOS.
I can't believe you have admitted to watching the one show. As soon as I hear the titles I have to change channel!

Oops...perhaps I shouldn't have criticised the programme but I just find noisy folks from London annoying.
The 'One Show' has some interesting folks on some nights. Tonight they had Guy Martin on. He describes himself as a Truck Fitter who races motor bikes. I find the bloke quite normal and unassuming. When they have a 'lovie' on the show it goes off.

Guy Martin is a complete legend in my eyes, superb racer but very down to earth it seems
(He has an autobiography out too which should be an interesting read)
Anyone watched Ultimate Wheels on History channel?
British show, a guy called "Elo" who runs the London Car Museum, a former male model it seems, very down to earth and personable character, who along with another chap (who name I don't know) who has huge ginger sideburns that haven't been seen on tv since 1973 on Noddy Holder's mush, west country accent, does the mechanics of the cars.
Previous episodes have seen a VW camper turned into a mobile office, a Ferrari 400 turned into a pick-up (looked better than the original) and last night a Bristol 400 turned into a "gentleman's hot-rod".
