breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

I know that Rover had some production quality issues but are you seriously telling me they didn't put a petrol filler on that car?!?! ;)

Hmm, I'm more into the heavy oil engine these days but isn't the Rover V8 a good candidate for LPG? OK so the gas isn't cheaper than petrol by such a margin as it once was (locally - which is a guide if no more, petrol is 126.9ppl, Diesel is 131.9ppl, LNG 83ppl and LPG typically 72ppl) but who cares when you have an engine that makes V8 noises?

Or you could try to find an SD1 with that wonderfully eccentric Italian Turbo Diesel engine. They're pretty lively and will run happily on black Diesel or veggie, or you could get an LNG kit if they have them in France and save even more fuel money.

No issues with parking if you have that, it's not like the council could tow it and it has enough ground clearance to have one set of wheels on the roves of cars on each side of the road ;)
