F****** Potholes!

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

This happened to me yesterday evening driving home from the train station. Took out two of my tyres and I've only had the car for a couple of weeks. Best of luck getting money from your council, I phoned mine and explained the whole situation to them and their response was 'you're the driver so you should be aware of everything on the road and the avoid pot holes'.

You poor wee things!
What sort of tyres do you blokes use in the UK? Here in West Oz I drive my Triumph 2500 across farm paddocks and along gravel roads with holes a darn sight worse than that shown in the first post -- and have been doing so for the last 4 years on the same Goodyear road tyres; and I not talking about walking speeds either. Sure, it's not kind to the suspension; but it has not fallen apart yet. And what about the highly important tyre pressures? Lower than optimum and the side walls flex excessively, which is asking for trouble.
