breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

That pickup could be very cool when restored
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Very much so - it appears full of Gallic character and would look fabulous finished - just the thing for doing the wine run with - I wonder if the vendor wants stupid money for it ?

Why? They're finally getting the recognition they deserve in the UK!

Cheap still when compared to an over priced and inferior Escrote!

 I remember VVK2T when David Blackshaw (partner and service manager at Blackshaws' BL dealership in Alnwick, still by the town now though their fabulous original site is now flats) got the car new and even before that certain TDC stalwart rebuilt it and fitted these lush Rover 200 chairs at both ends it was a very special example, probably one of the very few from the Russian steel period that's still around. But eleven effing grand? I reckon it'll stick for quite a while at that, especially when another example, with the desirable auto option and in Magenta, lovely, lovely Magenta, sold at a shade under £7k through a classics-only specialist seller down in that London. That one was totally unwelded and without a trace of rust as it would have been a British steel one and as such a much better prospect for anyone buying it to use rather than to look at or strip for racing.
There's unlikely to be anything wrong with the orange one though, and maybe they'll get their money but whatever it makes, the bar will probably end up a little higher. :|
