I think the rest of the internet is too. One thing you can guarantee is that it will be built to a better quality with a better paint finish than Ford could ever have managed!LC1963 wrote:looking forward to seeing the finished article
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.

Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Re: LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION
Done abit more.Started on the n/s rear quarter and in the boot area.

Been collecting some nice parts over the past few months.
Brand new old stock genuine front grille.

A pair of perfect door handles.

Perfect seat belts.

Genuine perfect condition lotus steering wheel and gear knob.

Twin 40 dcoe 18s bought and refurbed.

Also bought a set of 15" minilites.I have the lotus steels aswell but these look the nuts on a lotus mk1.

Heres a few pics of a lotus mk1 with these wheels on.
Have to shorten the rear axle by 20mm for these to fit.

She's got her face back
always nice to see a project come together. Have you got much more to do before you send her off for paint?

I've a feeling that Chap Foose does better paint himself than most paint shops.....TerryG wrote:....send her off for paint?

Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

Re: LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION
Excellent progress and great workmanship
Have to admit to not liking the 15" wheels though, look to big and modern (IMHO of course
)
Much prefer to see the finished car on original steels, but either way it will still look amazing
Keep up the good work.
