Re: LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION
Looking damn good. You are going to have a better finish on your metal than new cars get on the finished paint!
If you have a look around the interweb, there was a Lotus Cortina on Fast n Loud last night

Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I have to confess that I thought you'd put the same photos on a second time - then realised that your "rough work" is still better than my finished job!
Yes, another inspirational thread by Chap Foose that will be followed religiously until the "drool point" conclusion!

Hi Paul
I have been following your blog with great interest and envy
What a fantastic job you are making of your car with astonishing attention to detail. I realise that you are doing this project for yourself but would you consider taking on a paying project?
Ian

Re: LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION
Hmm, you'd make a lousy builder Paul!
My next door neighbour and his other neighbour have had - or are having - building work done. So three houses in a row have had builders in the last couple of months and have all been promised start and completions times which have turned out to be somewhat fictitious! I am starting to wonder how builders ever stay married - "I'm coming" they keep saying, then do a small spurt and disappear!
