explains why my mrs got £70 for an old Toshiba Radio/ record player which had to be sent to France. Apparently it was to be broken for parts. Postage was £30

Yes, French cheapness explains how you only got that for it. If the one you mean was a suitcase type, then they're worth rather more here though radiograms in big wooden cabinets are virtually worthless unless they're European premium ones such as that Telefunken, Saba, Tandberg, some but not all Grundigs, B&O etc. Then, you can pretty much name your price as certain parts, when removed and sold separately, can fetch around 300% more than the complete set.megadethmaniac wrote:explains why my mrs got £70 for an old Toshiba Radio/ record player which had to be sent to France.
