I'll be there on the Saturday, so if you see a bald old git hanging around the Matra Enthusiasts' Club stand in Hall 8, stop and say hello. You can have a look at Danny's Espace while you're there.

I'll be there all weekend working with the PC team & the Wheeler Dealers, we are rebuilding an MGB Roadster over the weekend. I'll be assembling the engine in my Practical Classics Workshop, so come along and have a chat.

It's time to announce our competition winner! Thanks to all those who entered.
Our winner is... TIM COOPER. You've won two tickets to the NEC motor show this weekend and an epic sat nav

Congratulations
gotta love a freebee. I entered the one on Discovery too. Theirs had a "back stage pass" for the live stage.
I'll complain that I never win anything until I pick up 6 numbers on Saturday night (it must be my turn by now. Perhaps I should buy a ticket for a change.)

We finished our stand/diorama at 4-00pm today. Come and say hello if you are there. Look for the Birmingham & West Midlands Area Military Vehicle Trust display. Hall 19 stand 100. Introduce yourself and if you're tired and weary we can find you a seat. We are by the Hog Roast, coffee stall and near the bar.

Just throwing it out here, and its real last minute, but i'm not going to be able to use Sundays tix.
If anyone can use a pair of tix for Sunday, let me know. I can email them to you. No point in wasting them.

Brilliant day out. Suffering from complete classic overload now though. That place is HUGE. Just too much to see. 8 hours and i know there's stuff i missed.

Well what a difference a year makes - it can't just have been as a result of my rant above but this year the way through the Bike Show to the other half of the Car Show was free and easy - we were able to wander in and out of each event with no restriction. There was a sign up saying that Bike tickets didn't allow admission to the cars but despite going past many time, no tickets were checked - how could they as we handed them in anywayTopaz wrote:Time for a rant![]()
I see that the Classic Bike Show is again using Hall 6 which means that we will have to fight through the security barrier to go through that show and back into the other half of the car show. This is because car show tickets include entrance to the bike show but not the other way round as you can buy cheaper tickets just for the bike show.
As a result there are barriers separating the halls with security staff checking tickets and hand stamps to allow people though from one to the other - what a crazy situation ! Why not allocate either hall 12 or 17 to the bike show as they are at either end of the complex which would then give most visitors a free run through all of the other halls without passing through the security barriers - or going out of the hall walking around and then back in again![]()

This does however highlight the fact that admission to the Bike Show was (I think) about £5 less than for the car show so how is that possible if you can just wander from one to the other. Does that mean we can all save a bit of cash next year - they're not going to put a stamp on your forehead saying 'Biker' are they

Very much enjoyed the show and my son even managed to sort out Mum's Christmas present by buying her some sheepskin slippers
