Gumtree
Re: Gumtree
Treat it like exchange and mart. You contact the seller and make an offer or accept the advertised price.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Re: Gumtree
how does madbid work? or is it just a con??
Re: Gumtree
It's just a con.
Every bid you place costs an amount which you have to credit in advance so say you want a TV. The starting price is £1, the bid increment is 10p and the cost per bid is 50p. So the TV sells for £50 but it takes 490 bids to get it there. In total madbid earn £295 with the sale price and cost of the bids. The auctions automatically extend so you can't "snipe" the price just goes up and up until all the people bidding either run out of credit or decide they have had enough. Every bid earning madbid from 20p to a few pounds depending on what you are bidding on.

It doesn't and yes it is.rich. wrote:how does madbid work? or is it just a con??
Gumtree's great but if selling on there, prepare for dumbass questions from life forms that haven't evolved to the point where they can manage to use eBay.
Favourite Gumtree f**kwit question is "Here mate, will you swap it for a Sony Experia?" Doesn't matter what you're selling, there's always at least one of those on there.

Re: Gumtree
Both eBay and Gumtree seem to attract offers of knackered cars. When I have been selling Mamod bits and pieces I have had offers to swap it for other Mamod bits and pieces (I have too much of it that is why I have sold some!)

Gumtree is owned by ebay anyway, so they'll get you one way or another!
