LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

All welding done apart from the front wings.
Inner wings need filling and its easier to do
it with the wings off,so will get on with it.

You have been busy again. That car is unrecognisable from the one you started with. At the rate you are going it will be on the road before Christmas :)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I agree with Terry! It's coming along brilliantly. The panel gaps are looking spot on.

and a lot tighter than it left Dagenham with no doubt
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound

Chap

You are going to have to buy a big trophy cabinet when you finished for all the awards you are going to win in the near future :)
