breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

I don't ever remember a Transit with a wooden bed, not to say there wasn't one or that someone didn't do it themselves.
800% zoom does make it go a tad blocky. I blame John for not having gone over and taken a better pic when he had the opportunity.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I fully agree, and think a suitable punishment should be administered! How about a block on all images featuring a Micra, CF or anything plastic??

In my defence, I don't think that I would have bothered going over the road for a closer look as even 400Es were still as common as muck in the mid '80s.

What I could do is try to find the original negative (remember those?) and make a better image from it as when I first made that one, it was scanned from a 6"x4" print as that was the only technology available to me at the time.
Please don't go all anti-plastic on me guys. Pretty please with Anna Friel on top? :P

(& I can take or leave a CF, it's the astonishingly sexy CA that pushes my buttons).

Did the second one used to be a mail delivery vehicle perhaps? Driven by a bloke named Pierre and his black and white le chat?

Surely he'd have been called "Patrice"???
;)
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.
