Thieving Scum
Had a site in Dagenham last week and had a small welfare unit placed to site, rear of a residential area whilst we undertook some restoration work upon the river. The unit provides for a small canteen area with seating for the guys on site, a WC and a drying room / storage locker. They are integral with a generated powered supply - anti vandal shutters / doors etc and with a hydraulic axle that drops it to the ground with a cover to go over the towing A frame to prevent theft - none the less the scum arrived overnight last week and managed to get it off site. It was within a fenced area - 20 metres from lorry / crane / hiab access and with a 400mm drop from road access into site - they ripped the fence down - built a ramp with loose rubble to access with a 4 x 4 and somehow managed to get the 1.8 ton unit up on its axle and drag it out of site - it had a puncture on the offside wheel when we put it on site so they cannot have towed it far or at at any speed !! The police are next to no help either - so its just down to our insurer to cough up the £20k to replace it - There is little doubt our premium will be through the ceiling next year - Thieving Scum should be shot on first sight

It's amazing how resourceful pikeys are. The Fuzz are worse than useless with stolen property, they just give you a crime reference and get victim support to call you and tell you to feel better, etc.
As that is a pretty big thing, it may be worth your while doing a drive by the local "caravan parks" to see if you can see it over a hedge.

On the other hand, if you'd caught them and duffed them up you'd have felt the full force of the law against you. (the pikeys that is, not the police)TerryG wrote:The Fuzz are worse than useless with stolen property, they just give you a crime reference and get victim support to call you and tell you to feel better.

my nephews bike got stolen recently, the police have been told by a witness who has it & they still arnt interested.. what do we pay them for?
Re: Thieving Scum
The only chance of thieving bastards getting caught by the Police is if they break the speed limit. I have not got the slightest faith in the Police to catch anybody other than the motorist if they break the law. My daughter was assaulted in an unprovoked attack by a nieghbour a few years ago. The local plod arrived spent over 4 hours interviewing her and then said "It's too late to interview the accused I'll see them tomorrow. It was 4 days before the assailant was spoken to and given a verbal warning by a sergeant at a local Police station. Two days later the same person threatened to give my wife thumping. My daughter had to go to hospital! We had a truck and equipment stolen from our locked and secured workshop. We rang the Police and reported it. Result nothing. I have had two cars stolen one from a secure compound. Nothing. One week after the last one was taken I was pulled over for doing 36MPH in a 30MPH limit. 3 points and £40 plus £25 costs!! I have been involved in a crash with a drunk driver. A Police officer who arrived and because he hadn't been trained to use one hadn't got a breatherliser. Another police car arrived. They had got a breatherliser but it hadn't been calibrated. They got called away to a fight. Result the drunk got away with it and I lost my no claims bonus. The majority of British Police are a disgrace to their uniform.

i sold a car for spares, it left my place on a trailer. a month later the previous owner was on the phone complaining about a speed camera fine, the car had been off the road for 12 months or more. i rang the police who threatened me with a huge fine & prison, i passed on the new owners details & they were satisfied.. the new owner contacted the police & was threatened with fine etc until he pointed out that he had sold the car onto pikeys to which the police replied ok you will not hear any more & rang off.. ive been pulled over for slowing down for a speed limit/trap, copper was not happy i was doing 38 through a 40..

If people keep on offending, each time they get prosecuted (Not often judging by most comments
), they should get points. If they get enough points, within a certain time, either lock them up for life or (If ever capital punishment is reintroduced) hang them; whether they be petty thieves, bent bankers or crooked politicians (Obviously murder would be a "12 point" crime)

There was a piece in my local paper this week saying that seven out of the ten most prolific local offenders were still at liberty, some of them with hundreds of offences to their names. The police reckoned that if they were all locked up, Ipswich would be almost crime-free. Martin Evans for Justice Secretary

When I'm justice secretary, you can be a judge. I'll provide you with two bricks
