What classic vehicles have you seen?
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
When I went for a wander to get some milk I spotted this behind someone's house. Sorry for the small pic, I only had my phone with me and can't get very close to the car.
I have no idea what it is but I want it.Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Late 40s American I'd say. Will have a look.

Saw a green LHD VW Beetle in Tredegar yesterday. Looked in good order and the large round rear lights looked like the 1302 style lights of the 1970s. I know they have made them in Latin America.....so I suppose it could be one of those.

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Rich, is there a Micra in that photo? I can't tell 'cos some prune abandoned a Matra-Simca Rancho right in the middle of the car park.

The original SUV, if not the "Handbag" on wheels, into which some of that genre have now developed
. Don't know when I last saw a Rancho; no doubt part of the lost generation of cars, that followed on from what you might call mainstay, pre 1980 rooted classics.

The Rancho, with its three rows of seats is arguably the first people carrier. Matra offered its replacement to Peugeot and Citroen, who turned it down, saying it wouldn't sell. It was quickly picked up by Renault who marketed it as the Espace. The rest, as they say, is history. There are quite a few Ranchos in the UK known to the Matra Enthusiasts' Club.
