I will admit to knowing less than nothing about these cars but your restoration skills are amazing. That looks superb.
Only question, what is the "air tube" for?
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I'm not the only one that's been busy - Keith has been advancing the mechanical inspections and sourcing the parts
Front hubs - brakes were all rebuilt recently so not too much to do here apart from strip / prep / paint / reassemble - brake hoses although newish are U/S as they left them twisted / chaffing (whoever did the previous work)

Steering box gets a clean bill of health - just requires prep & paint - just as well has to access it you have to split the case which is braised together

Upper yokes - early type was mechanical (fitted / lower in the image) & rubber (upper in the image) the car had some form of not quite correct hybred / Hienz 57 fitted when it arrived so we probably have to utilise some of our stock to get the set up right

Terry - The air tube was fed from a cowel on the engine side of the inner wing which transfered fresh air in to the car
