Another update, a local VW chap I know helped me undo the flywheel nut and replace the seals x2
We needed his large vice and his workbench and a bit of angle iron to hold down the engine to remove the bolt.

I just hope all is oil tight, when I start up the bug again for the first time.
After fixing all those leaks now, and not just the flywheel one its been ££££ spent just to get it back on the road.

Plus the new tinware as well.

Well next job which is my cunning plan, I should have some metal dentist picks arriving on Saturday.
The plan is to pick out the remains of the glued in seal, then refit the new one and clutch then refit the engine.

Then start up the bug and check on all my work fingers crossed.

Well due to the rain, I worked on the engine today fitted a new clutch, manifold, carb, tinware reset tappets.

Just have to find a dry day, to pick out that seal in the gearbox?

Will finish off engine ASAP ready to refit engine in the bug. Just got to add a few bits on to finish off .

Yesterday I washed it (filthy) and managed to drive it hood down for the first time in a fortnight. It's been either too cold to drop the top (not me being a wuss, bad for the vinyl) or pouring down, but yesterday it was good!

Finished hooking up the Moke's new engine except the carb and mainfold. I'm just waiting on a new speedo sensor from the UK now before I reattach those. Then time to fire up 1310cc's of MG Metro goodness. :)

What overbore have you had to get to 1310? I have had 1293 and 1340 but don't think I have been offered 1310.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
