Going to live up to my name with this one!
For economic reasons I decided that 2012 would be the year I would end all my mag subscriptions (5in total) and just buy the editions I actually found useful. Over the last month I probably had around 20 emails offering reduced rates of each of the various subscriptions. As pc is the mag I read most and can do without least I decided to renew at their (your) best rate.
So I followed the advertised link only to discover the the actual offer wasn't available.
So I phoned Bauer who agreed the offer wasn't available so I decidede to have a rethink. Following day I had another email with the same offer. Unsurprisingly it wasn't available in the link so I again phoned Bauer who again said it wasn't available and they had no record of the offer so would I send them a copy of the email. Barmy, I though. They want me to send them a copy of an email they sent to me! Did it anyway and got no reply.
Until yesterday when they sent me the same offer again. So I followed the link, the offer Wasn't available, I phoned to check.....blah blah blah. This time I insisted that they honor their offer as they had been given 2 chances to correct their error, they will have a recording of my previous conversations (for training purposes) and a copy of my email pointing out the details of the offer.
I won
Why oh why is it so difficult to get things right?

Re: Mag subscriptions
Well that was misplaced optimism
A month later, no mag and no gift
Quick call to subscriptions and guess what?, no record of any subscription in my name
That's rubbish, come on guys sort this out or I'm giving up on PC and going to the inferior opposition
