The problem with this one is that we don't know Plod's side of the debate. The whole "problem" is only seen from OP's point of view and I doubt he'd say "I told plod to f-off and gave him a lot of aggro" - or that he had a boot full of forged fivers! Most Policemen (and women) that I know would give you the benefit of the doubt if you are straight and honest - there's a lot of paperwork to do for nothing if the prosecution lot throw the case out for lack of evidence. One of my friends does the pre-prosecution work and she spends a heck of a lot of time collating and checking evidence before anything gets to court!

I hope the officer isn't following this thread - I would guess that it could be used in a Court of Law!!

Fair point, but given that most of it has been based on pure speculation with few - if any - facts to support the o/p's initial claim, I can't see it being quoted before the Magistrate just yet. ;)

Reading the same thread on other forums I would suggest that many - possibly all - of the "facts" stated are not true. The OP seems to still have his car, which would indicate that it was not even actually seized in the first place, and to date has not given a clear answer (not in English, anyway) regarding the actual reason for alleged seizure. Even the title of the thread is clearly wrong!

I think taking the whole story with a pinch of salt would probably classify as the under-statement of the year.

Hugely entertaining thread though, don't you think? ;)
