More than satisfied with my March edition here, but just one comment about the round Britain trip in the Escort; surely that's not actually a "round Britain" trip at all, but a series of journeys, with quite some time between them, that happened to have been made in the same car?
An interesting account of some events from the car's working life for sure, but "Round Britain?" No.
The magazine entered a Brooklands Green Dolomite Sprint for the Club Triumph
Round Britain Run back in 199?, having repaired some rot in the front subframe mounts and carried out a manual conversion (

) prior to taking part. Now
that event is a truer test of driver endurance, I'm thinking it's about time we were able to read of some similarly worthwhile achievement, perhaps a shot at the North Cape Run, undertaken in one of Danny's Interceptors, or maybe in the MX5 if economy is a barrier? That should be easy, given that it's possible to travel across deserts to Bethlehem in one of those and live to tell the tale.
