Nothing Done on the car.
I was taken to the auto parts store and got the serpentine
belt changed. Upon my return a nice brown envelope from the
DVLA with the updated logbook(V5)

So the receipt without engine number on letter headed paper
from the scrapyard with my hand written engine number onto
the logbook with engine cc was enough to have it altered.

And there was no vehicle inspection required either. So one
thing less to worry about, as now I can get it MOT'd and the
road tax, when the old girl is up and running.

It was too cold I couldn't get my legs warm at all.

Good to know, I shall be updating the logbook on mine as soon as I get an engine number (and corresponding engine!) and i've been worried they'll refuse it with all the scaremongering lately. Keep up the good work Mitsuru.

I've not been to well lately, so if I go outside even for a minute to close
the gates to let the dogs out, my feet and legs go like ice and I could be
sat infront of a roaring fire and still not get the warmth back into them.
I just hope I'm not coming down with something!

When the exhaust pipe has been sorted the car will be moved off the pit,
and back onto the bit of drive infront of the garage. The will mean the
old girl will have the wood and tool sheds to one side and the garage to
help act as a wind brake. The pit is the most exposed part of the drive,
as it faces out to see there is nothing around it to block the wind.

Remember this photo? imagine no leaves on the trees.

Oh curtise of Great Aunt Polly I have a car cover which can be used as a
tent to protect me from the rain, which I will attache to the tool sheds
and over the car for me to work there.

I haven't do anything on the car fsr s good few days
because of the weather.

Today I drilled and fitted the bottom radiator mounts.
The lower radiator hose was connected up.

HOWEVER!! I went to close the bonnet & it wouldn't!!
As the a/c radiator acted as a spacer between cars
frame and the race radiator, I had not anticipated not
using it when I had the race radiator adapted.

Oh and as I took a break I knocked my mobile phone
off the arm of the sofa and into glass of lemonade
sitting on the floor. So no photos!

Depending on tomorrows weather and on the phone
drying out, photos and ideas on if it needs moding
some more or a totally different radiator!

I've been waiting for the delivery of mothers replacement bumper.
As well as waiting for Dean to come over and customise the
exhaust before the car can be moved.

I did a little looking on google about Dean's ex employer the company
that was supposed to do the ECU and other stuff.

This is what I found

Company SWIFTBAY LIMITED
Filing Date 2011-06-11
Filing Code SOAS(A)
Description VOLUNTARY STRIKE OFF SUSPENDED

I think this means someone has objected the winding up of the company,
possibly the inland revenue as the director never paid his employees tax
or national insurance, then there is the landlords of the garage he leased!
Am I right in my assumption?

Well nothing done on the car due to the weather being too bad,
and a gastro bug for 2 weeks running.

I have kept some of the car manuals, wiring diagrams etc backed
up on 2 laptops away from my pc just in case. This is just as well
as the pc will not even get to boot up anymore!

However! the laptops are the Packard Bell R4622 which were
released in August 2005. And they have taken some hammering and
kept on going for now! But one of them is starting to show signs of
old age.

I have to fork out for the radiator either to go for it to be modified
again or be replaced. So I am stuck and be unable to replace the pc
and the laptops and do the radiator at the same time.

So if I stop posting on this or any other thread, then you know that
the laptop(s) I have, has also given up the ghost!
As any money will be put to one side for the radiator.

Dean came over today

So the exhaust pipes got sorted, all but the downstream o2 sensor
was done. The o2 sensor was rusted solid into the nut on the pipe.
He said he would get it later when I get a new nut to weld onto the
pipe.

Mam isn't going to be pleased though!
As Dean spent most of the time on mine, her escort estate only got
partly sorted out. The estate got a replacement drive shaft and brake
hose on the Left front, the right front hose is ok. The rear brake shoes
weren't done.

It didn't help that the new brake shoes for the estate were the wrong
ones, and as the light was gone we left her car in bits on the drive with
the rear sitting on a trolley jack
Better luck tomorrow!!! :?

Which Christmas though? ;)

No way, seriously? I reckon that the hard work is done now and that Mitsuru will have his Neon tested and on the road ready for the first Metro Centre meet of 2012, so that'll be April then. Or is it May? Whichever, I'll look forward to seeing it there. 8-)

Metro Centre meet?
I have not been able to get out and about so didn't keep up on where and when meets were.
Please enlighten me, thanks.
