Long range weather forecast! WINTER WILL BE EARLY THIS YEAR

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Maybe this week will keep Aron happy? Daytime temperatures of mid 70s F in the North East in late September - with warm nights too - should more than make up for the projected bit of extra snedge in the coming Month or three.

I'll be happy when all the fabrication and fitting is done!
The weather is what stops me cutting bits ready for dad to weld.
I can do the plumbing and electrics later

The weather has been truly insane, I tell ya. From 14 degrees to 30 and then back to 14 in a few hours. WTH? Seriously, I never know what to put on in the morning. I'd appreciate some consistency.... (dull)

I must admit, with the climate in this country, I am looking to emigrate in a few years. I'm an outdoors person and while I don't mind a cold winter, I DO mind if if we don't get any summer. My girlfriend is from the Pacific Northwest in America and they get cold winters, but their hot summers last from about May till October. Now if I had 6 months of hot weather I wouldnt mind a few months of snow and then rain!

I share your sentiments (Maybe I'm too firmly rooted to move) entirely. Here we are again, nearly at the end of another year and still no Summer. In essence, we haven't had a nice June, July & August since 2006 (At least not in my neck of the woods); the Winter of 2006 - continues Every car event I have entered this year or attended has been cr*pped upon  . I've learned to regard June, July and August as resembling the inside of a toilet but still you end up in September feeling cheated. September can sometimes offer some respite but this year (Until last weekend) it's been a continuation of the "Second winter period". Some friends of mine completed their move to France during June; what a difference a few hundred miles south makes. When it was first discussed, I thought they were mad (They didn't speak French for one thing) but now I'm not so sure.

Oddly enough, I took the Midget out today (See "What classics have you seen" thread, in General chat) and the weather was faultless. (Already I'm almost forgetting that it has cr*pped down for months). When the weather is right, there's nowhere better. I wonder what a great big missile would do to an Atlantic depression :?: All jokes aside, the Soviets did once stop the rain, for a Mayday parade (Using acid shells).

Recently I spoke to someone from Herefordshire (Near the Malvern Hills) and he said they've not had a bad Summer (He said it's been dry), which given that it's only about sixty miles away, seems hard to credit. Have people in some parts of the UK had a Summer this year :?:

There's just no pleasing some folk!
I was over in Jedburgh yesterday afternoon, according to the dashboard it was 81 degrees outside the car, and was still 70 degrees back over at the coast at midnight, in October.
That'll do just fine, ta muchly. 8-)
