Much nice old machinery seen at Otterburn Festival today, as well as the county's most widely travelled alpaca herd:
These pair of Magnettes were owned by the same bloke, the ZB is absolutely lovely and hasn't needed any restoration work:

This loaf had been driven from Slough for the event and wasn't the usual festering sack of crap: Image

'Wing trike had all the toys; power steering, hi-fi and a square front tyre with hub centre steering so that it doesn't handle like a Reliant Rialto with an old CX500 frame head glued to it:

Phase 1 Standard Vanguard was just pure art on wheels, lovely big cuddly old thing that it was:
Image
Fiat 126 "Brown" limited edition had been restored to absolutely perfect condition and made me wish that my own 1972 500 was coming along a bit more rapidly:

The rustiest road-legal Silver Shadow in the world (probably) turns its nose up at the neighbouring Quantum:

Lotus just like the one in Ben VND's post above, but in white:

Staaaaaag was a very tidy one:

Immaculate FE Victor appears at pretty much every show between Aberdeen and Hull, 20 years since it had a fresh pair of wings, the rest is original and perfect:
Image
Humber Estate was lovely too, and big. Very big in fact:
Image
Audax Super Minx was indeed super. Cleanest I've seen in a while:

Datsun does the local scene and still looks good after 5 or more years since the owner started showing it:

Arrow straight Hunter ;) :

Alfa made a very nice noise. Oh, and I think that it looks quite pretty too:
Image
Forerunner of the 206 :D , this 1904 Peugeot was driven to the event in spite of the driving rain and state of the local roads:

Hot, wet alpaca action:

Those things are so very cute, I'd bet that they don't snore or steal your duvet.

Love the number plate on the alpaca trailer .... I wonder if he'll get nicked for illegal plates like I have ?

C'mon then; share with the group. How did you manage to get the wrong side of the number plate-crazy (well they are nowadays) Police?

I still find myself being tugged by the fuzz for the non-reflective Bluemels semi-peak digit plates on the Dolly even though they're perfectly legal, it being a '72-built car.

German style plates on my E21.
I know,I know but I always kept the originals in the boot in case I got a tug ,planning on pleading ignorance, flashing a bit of thigh and swapping them over.

But I got ticketed when I was at work and the thing was parked up outside my house

Here are some of the cars I saw on Sunday 17 July, on the St David's Hospice Road Run. The weather wasn't brilliant (Though not bad for July) but you couldn't say it was bad either (A few drizzly patches, more so towards the Brecon end); much better than the barometer suggested it might be. First thing I wasn’t sure whether to go but around 8.45 it seemed to be looking better (I think the Met Office are a lying bunch of barstewards, so pay no heed to weather forecasts), so I set off in the Midget, with the hood folded. I’m so glad I went, as it was a great day :D . We had quite a good turnout.

Saw a mark2 escort 2000 with the sloping frnt on the m6 today. Looked like it had overseas plates.
Also saw a smart white Austin sprite.
No camera, so no photos sorry.
Seems to be loads of classics about this year.

In a back street in a little town in SW France yesterday, a Triumph TR250 (American TR5), jacked up with over-size fake Minilites and fat tyres. Looked absolutely awful. I couldn't bring myself to take a pic.

Today has been a good day, a lovely Rover P5B 3.5 coupe on the way to work, my good deed was to let him out into the traffic. Lunchtime, passed a mint Triumph 2500, and no pictures as driving and taking pictures is frowned upon! :P
