I was only thinking of him yesterday - the original Star Trek was on CBS Action before McGuyver and I saw the end "humorous" bit and thought that two of the "big four" were no longer here.

It will seem strange to see future Star Trek films without Spock but at least we have plenty of Leonard's work to enjoy. I suppose it was illogical to expect him to last as long as his best-known character.

Thanks for the entertainment Mr Spock. May you boldly go on forever.

Well, he did Live Long and Prosper. He was definitely the best of the original crew.

He'd have known straight away that the dress wasn't really white & gold.. :D

RIP Leonard Nimoy. The world has lost a decent actor and an average folk singer.

Sometimes, a body gets a hankering that only Leonard Nimoy singing about hobbits while surrounded by 60's pixie chicks can sate. Fortunately, we live in a world where those hankerings need not go unfulfilled!

OK, so given that he released a few LP records, just why precisely is it that - whenever Leonard Nimoy's name is mentioned in connection with music - that's the song that turns up? It's a bit like Putin riding that Welsh horse; a well known image of the man but not who he is.
I couldn't find a video clip to demonstrate [Mr Nimoy's] version of that well known traditional standard "Matty Groves", but it's hilarious as he seems not to grasp the fact that the song is always sung from the woman's viewpoint and d'you know what.. He doesn't give a toss. Funny guy, but rarely recognised as such.

Here is another tune from the man whose real ears were never seen in public:

Oof! :| And an even better cover of a classic tune:

Isn't this the only "classic" tune featuring Leonard Nimoy (sort of)?
