sick and tired of welding spark and dimps falling on my ankles....anyne know of someone who sells a solution to my problem?

Why are you welding with your feet?
You could get a pair of welding gauntlets and cut the hands off then use the wrist bits to sit over the bottom of your trousers / top of your shoes. Cheap and cheerful solution.

...........buy a pair of boots! Every so often Lidl do really cheap steelies, god-awful to walk any distance in but ideal for what we need 'em for.

When i was young I would cheerfully chop'n'weld in shorts and flip flops...as I get older I value my remaining faculties and do stuff like wearing ear defenders, gloves, and safety glasses when grinding, something that verged on the Larry Grayson as far as me and my mates were concerned when I was 25 but now I'm 51 and don't fancy the trips to casualty for the inevitsble stitches i don't worry so much about looking like Mr H&S

Yeah, I wear steelie boots. I had the misfortune of a weld blob finding its way down the side of my ankle and into the boot itself. 100-1 chance, F on the pain scale.

If in doubt use bicycle clips and long trousers

yeah i suppose its just time to grow up and buy some protective gear. T shirts, tracky bottoms usually on fire from grinding sparks, just aint cutting it anymore.

Only issue with work boots are you gotta keep lacing em up and unlacing them every time you need to come in and use the facilities

Don't you weld with your feet? i'm sure that was the picture in my Clarke Mig guide

Rigger boots don't have laces and they're dead hard.

Buy a large plastic funnel and a length of hose pipe!

It is what a local blacksmith (long since retired) did. One day we were listening to local radio and they were doing a piece on village trades. The young female interviewer saw the funnel and hose and asked, on live radio "What's that for?"

The blacksmith wasn't one for being polite .....

To stop nasty burns on my feet i get the wife to lay across them when i am welding the Escort.........would not of course ask the girlfriend to do that
