Don't use glue to put your flat screen telly on the wall!

I have just been ushered out of one of the meeting rooms as a 42" tv has just fallen off the wall. Looking at the stand before being chased out by the office manager, it had been GLUED on!
It has taken me 10 minutes to stop laughing.

So does that mean that I shouldn't have used "I can't believe it's not nails" to attach my mahoosive, 70+ Kg CRT Trinitron to the chimney breast?

No More Nails is fine. If you use glue, then make sure it's safe by using gaffer tape as an added precaution

Believe it or not, the glue is fine. The wallpaper on the other hand...........
I have seen a "repair" after one of the contractors put a vent for a tumble dryer from the ground floor kitchen in to the stairwell (I kid you not!)

Should have done a belt and braces jobbie and supplimented the glue with some silicone sealant and some expanding foam!

Don't laugh at expanding foam....you'd be amaxed at the number of upvc windows held in by it!

as some1 who has been in the construction industry since i was 16 i am amazed at its widespread use, as a construction director i am dismayed at its widespread use! it does have its uses but is sometimes abused.
