Licked the Brandy butter bowl out..
Dog liked the brandy too, staggering about a bit now ,he wants a pee, but he doesn't want to go out in the rain and gales

Hope he doesn't do a number indoors..

The landing light was flickering last night. It blew this evening - it's a CFL bulb and not much over ten years old (if that), so it has another CFL in its place - redundant now as I am changing over to LED ones slowly but surely!
It's windy here too - but has been for a fortnight or so! We did have a power cut on Saturday night; I was painting the sitting room walls at the time, so I had a rush round for a decent lamp and, by the time I got back downstairs, the dog was looking at me as if I was mad - the lights had come back on!

It's positively evil down here, I really didn't want to go out in it, but needs must, last bits of shopping and blood donation needed doing. It's crazy, as yesterday I was out on the Dolomite working in a T shirt as it was nice and sunny, spoilt only by a freak downpour just after I took it out for a spin to put some charge in the battery...

The Gales are blowing well up here now. The road into town (alternative routes available) is currently shut due to a large part of the high schools roof having blown off.
At least a lot of the kids will be smiling....
Hoping it all settles down for boxing day when I'm hoping to head down to Lancs, they kept shutting parts of the A9 yesterday due to snow, winds, etc and todays traffic reports don't look much better.
Fingers crossed it improves everywhere soon, it seems to have been gale after gale recently which means it isn't fit to do anything outside the house
At least the leccy is staying on at the moment, but on past form it probably won't last.

Quick, you want to catch that water and save it for next year instead of having an hosepipe ban
