LONG..long ago.. I was in a queue, at the end of the Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead. South end, joining a roundabout.
The gap, here, was two cars in front of me....

..... imagine a long queue of cars on [effectively] a dual carriageway. Solid stopped in N/S lane.. clear in O/S lane.

Someone, in the near lane waves out a guy [wanting to be in the O/S lane], from a joining side road, through a narrow gap in the line of stationary cars.... Guy nods & pulls forward into the O/S lane >>> gets 2 foot of his 1800 landcrab out and a car, doing a fair whack down the O/S clear lane, RIPS the front off the 1800.. :o

I don't remember much of the ensuing 'paperwork exchange, Etc...' >> BUT >> the sound of the two headlamp chrome bezels [off the 1800] drinnginng along the road, after the 'assailing' vehicle still haunts my dreams...

O.U. ffinn CH!!!!!

A few years ago, a car ahead of me veered into the path of oncoming traffic hitting another car head on, both drivers were trapped and one guy was critical, luckily I was the attendant in a fully equipped paramedic unit and everyone survived. The guy had veered off his side of the road after suffering a CVA at the wheel.

alfaSleep I know that junction as it is just down from Commercial Propshaft(now known
as CPSDrivelink http://www.cpsdrivelink.co.uk/) on the Estate. And the traffic
there is even worse these days!

The most deserving person I have seen get their comeipance was a load mouth chav!
It was when I was living in the council house estate in Blackhall Rocks, and the house
was on one of the main routes down to the main road,And I mean down as it is on a
hill!. And at one side there is a chippy.
I won't go into details of the car other than it was a perfectly good corsa his mother
had owned till he got his hands on it! As this chav had spent his money on max power
stuff he let his insurance lapse and was still driving round like a pilock!
Well One day it had been raining, and the chippy was getting it's usual delivery, he
came pelting down the road to the junction as the driver stepped back to avoid something
falling on him from the back of the van. The chav hit his brakes and locked them up and
lost control. With the road being wet he spend 180 and ended up putting the corsa rear
end into a lamp post on the other side of the road. Bald tyres apparently too, so he got
the car out of there before the police arrived, but I heard a roumor he was chucked out of
his parents house when they found out about that and other stuff!

A few months later a large transit pickup fully loaded with building supplies went down
that road and skidded , missed all the other vehicles and said lamp post and into the bay
window of the house opposite, I only saw the carnage later that day coming home from work.

I was driving down the M6 one morning around 10-00am. Suddenly everybody started to slow down. I was in the inside lane as I was about to leave the motorway. We all stopped. There was an artic in the middle lane about two cars in front of me. I was looking in my drivers side mirror and I could see an XJ6 coming down the middle lane making no attempt to slow as it quickly got closer I could see the drivers was on his mobile in his right hand and describing something with his left hand obviously not holding the wheel. I leaned away from my door as I knew this guy wouldn't stop in time and I thought he might skid into me. Nothing, he made NO attempt to slow down and thudded into the artic. On impact the back wheels of the Jag left the road. The bonnet came back and over the roof. The bang was something else and he shunted the truck and trailer forwards. There were bits of the Jag raining down all over the place. At that moment the traffic started to move. A few folks got out to help. Apparently the driver got ok. I don't know how. The line of traffic I was in drove on. The car alongside the impact pulled over onto the hard shoulder as I think bits had hit his car. The crash bar on the trailer did it's job though it was bent under the back end of it. I wonder what his insurance said?

Knowing insurance companies, they would call it knock for knock!

A friend was going along nicely in a 30 limit, and was going to turn right in about 50 yards. Before that was a LH junction and, as he got level, a car pulled out straight into him. The other driver's insurance company called it knock for knock and, when my friend refused the offer, threatened him with court for dangerous driving! As it happened, there was a witness who said that my friend's RH indicator was flashing and he was moving to the centre of the road (to turn right), not travelling quickly and appeared to be paying attention to the road (they saw him brake as the car pulled out). It took a while, but the insurance eventually paid up!

A similar thing happened to his brother in law, when he was driving along a ring road and a car shot out in front of him. There was a touch, but neither car had enough damage to need more than a bit of T-cut. They exchanged details and a few days later, the driver appeared to say that the passenger had whiplash and that his exhaust was damaged (though my friend's Peugeot 207 only had a minor scuff on the bumper). After a few words, my friend's daughter appeared. The lad soon decided not to bother pressing his claim - she was wearing her Police uniform!

Sorry, it was some time ago and the lass is now in plain clothes as she checks evidence, statements etc for prosecutions.

I suppose I could ask my friends for the picture they have when she "graduated". I'm sure they wouldn't mind an old perv having a copy - so long as the lass could check your computer(s)...

Mind you, if you want a pic of a hot bitch:

New stove, big telly, what more could an old dog want?

As an aside - the yellow paint is 60 years old or so! I've just stripped the woodchip that we put up when we moved in 1983.
