Ok - Day job is a site project manager for a specialist civil engineers who specialise in the maintenance & restoration of river / canal network - Current project is the restoration of a derelict canal running through the Stroud valley in Gloucestershire, I have 2 navigation locks and the channel between to restore to working condition - didn't know until today but one of the trust members that promotes the restoration has been filming the work and sticking it on You Tube - there are several of them but I thought I would put the most interesting one on this post - so if you are bored stupid and don't have anything better to do - here are some of my daily challenges - I can be seen at about 8 + mins in talking to my contracts manager by the yellow pump tank

We did a set of lock gates last year (about 6 times the size) on site and could of done with a decent project manager. It was a project to widen the lock and they completely screwed it up and dropped the gate into the dock

Took divers etc to get it out and they just refitted the old gate back and gave up at the cost of millions.

Of course it went out to the local press and site magazine that everything went to plan
