Can anyone recommend a firm who can rebuild a complete clutch unit, for a rare german car, please.

Oh sounds interesting what is it, it might be German and rare but the clutch is probably the same as something else.

Ok, its for a NSU 1200 Automatik, which has a vacuum operated clutch which works by manually selecting from a three speed gearbox, therefore not a conventional automatic. The clutch does not appear to have any common parts with any other NSU (I'm a member of the Owners Club) although the clutch plate from the Prinz 4 can be made to fit by grinding down a lip. All other parts including the diaphragm are at present problematical.
Hence I'm open to suggestions!

You could contact http://www.luk.co.uk/content.luk.co.uk/en/index.jsp who are clutch manufacturers it wont be listed on the site but they may help.
Alternatively there are a few autosport specialist clutch makers who may possibly custom make one for you.

I am in the process of rebuilding an NSURo80 3 speed semi automatic with a servo operated clutch, and was wondering if you could use a unit from this car rather than trying to search for a diaphragm for your unit. The clutch plate will probably be different however, and I cannot find a supplier for my vehicle either.
