Is Danny a railway Jonah?

Did Danny leave Steam Railway Magazine because he was some sort of Jonah? According to the article on the Spitfire Express "Oliver Cromwell" suffered a major failure and had to be replaced by 47500. Just as the subscriber copies were hitting the mats 47500 derails and catches fire at Manchester. I think we should be told, and Danny should keep clear of railways.
