After a recent late night airing of mythbusters, it got me thinking.
What is the strangest or weirdest or most outlandish practical mod
you have seen on a car?
Pictures please if you can!

(no trucks/pickups/VANS or 4X4's JUST cars)

Okay as it was the one with the curse of the snow plough, I got to
thinking what sizes do the ploughs come in?
(as winter might be as bad as the summer we didn't have  )

I know they do them for 4x4s and trucks but didn't expect to come
across these

That's nothing - I heard of some guy putting a winch on a Chrysler Neon.... unbelievable!

Not sure what this started out as but it's weird :!:

I recall someone once fitted an adjustable rev counter and assuming that moving the red line to 8000 meant it was safe to rev to 8000 (When the limit would have originally been about 6000 - 6500 at most.

I've never seen one of these in the metal as I've only ever been to the big apple where postmen walk the same as ours do, but apparently they are common in the rural parts of the USA, where postmen must be total couch potatoes.....none of that opening the door and getting out for them, oh no  I like the way they make a point of saying they don't use chains, cables, or hydraulics like they're the unsafe work of the devil......unlike the fan-belts they appear to use!

I can't speak for the base underneath, but those wings are off a Moggie.

I'm thinking it's either a MK2 Granada or an Opel Rekord of the type current in the late '70s and early '80s, with added hearse from the A posts backover.

Very few cars make me want to visit a banger race but I'm guessing that's what it was built for.

I don't think it's a granada, looking at the headlights surrounding panels and the bottom of the bumper , the curve under along the side I get the impression of an early citroen cx or something similar.
Or it could just be me!

Mister Luxobarge already made a similar observation about the fitting of a winch to one of those. ;)
