twin carbs on a Vitesse 1600, 1962 convertible... one jet is not working. Can anybody help with advice ? Can I get a service kit or something ?

Hi although not a vitesse i recently overhauled the twin su's on my spit 1500 so very similar, I would say the current state of your carbs and the extent of your ability would dictate what was the best course of action. You can get ALL parts you need individually or as a service kit and what I found was changing individual parts on twin carbs is throwing good money after bad if time, money, knowledge allow I would highly reccomend buying a complete service kit (genuine SU) available from ebay, moss europe, rimmers etc etc remove the carbs and first thingsfirst clean them thoroughly I mean really thoroughly I used petrol and a toothbrush and took 3 hours!! seperate the carbs and strip, clean some more and recon (add the new parts) one at a time using the other as reference. My spit runs better than ever and the carbs look great and peace of mind they are more relaible.

alternatively you can but the jets individually but ideally as a pair disconnect the old ones from the bottom of the float chamber and the choke mech slide the old oneout and new one in!

At that age it'll most likely be Solex downdraughts, unless it's been retrofitted with Strombergs. The Solex carbs are quite complex so I'd be inclined to firstly check that fuel is actually reaching both carbs, if that checks out ok only then I'd dismantle them and give them a good clean, they may not actually need overhauling.
