Ay up!
Before anyone suggests otherwise I am not a masochist, just mad. But then I like Citroens. 2 of the 6 BXs I have owned never made it to the road but merely supplied parts. However, Fifi VII for your delectation:

If there is any car that's going to get dented in a car park, you're looking at it!
Currently VOR awaiting brake replacement. But I've got a plan. I don't think heat on the bolts holding the caliper to the bracket and the bracket to the hub is a very good idea. Any thoughts? So I reckon if I remove the hub and get it on the bench I got access for power tools.
I'll sort it, see if I don't!

The bolts holding the caliper on are pretty substantial and unlikely to snap, if i were you id get a big breaker bar/scaffold bar and they will undo always have for me. They will be stiff due to the loctite used and from the constant hot/cold/hot/cold.
proffesional advice it aint but just how i would do it! worst case they snap then take the hub off and drill em out

Ay up!
Thanks, lads. Plan K is this: remove the entire hub assembly from car, clamp in girt big vice and attack with air impact gun. Then drive pin out with air hammer. If the air hammer fails, there is a 10 ton press in the workshop (let's see the bugger resist that!

) or even a brazing hearth.
So far, that's up to plan M formulated. If I don't sort the bugger out, I'll run out of letters!

It wouldn't be nearly so funny as the Star Wars theme playing bagpiper unicyclist who dresses up [in a kilt and the top half of Darth Vader's costume], but I'd watch.

Ay up!
Sadly, I don't wish to incur the wrath of the moderators by posting a video nasty on here, especially when I'm still in clean overalls!
I'll keep you posted....

Xantia Nut, I'm really sorry about setting the fence so high.
Seriously, isn't there something amazingly satisfying about watching a video of someone bashing the living b******ks out of a few seemingly innocent lumps of car?
I'd stick the whole assembly in a freezer overnight and then plunge it into a hot oven but where would be the fun in that?
Gotta love a good ol' Citroen.
